Dermatitis Case Study 1
A 24-year-old female suffered from atopic dermatitis since childhood but felt it was worsening. The skin on her body was dry, had eczema and was itching so often that she would scratch and bleed while she was sleeping. Her symptoms worsened before each menstrual cycle. She was prescribed an anti-allergic agent and an ointment, but it didn't improve so she visited our clinic to try the acupuncture treatment and herbal tea.
The goal of her treatment was to relieve dryness, itchiness and constipation. Her symptoms improved considerably in two weeks, and the dryness, redness and itchiness in her skin disappeared. During treatment, she didn't feel the need to scratch while she was sleeping. She felt glad to have improved so quickly.
Dermatitis Case Study 2
A 16-year-old male suffered from atopic dermatitis causing his forehead to look inflamed, and his facial skin to appear red and dry. He constantly felt the need to scratch his skin.
Two weeks after treatment, the inflammation in his skin was gone and the redness had decreased. About one year after he received acupuncture treatment, and the redness had completely disappeared.
Dermatitis Case Study 3
An 18-year-old woman had severe atopic dermatitis symptoms for about a year, such as redness, swelling and fever. Her symptoms appeared on her head, face, neck, shoulders, and elbows. She felt that she couldn't sleep well because of the itching and pain, and began to always feel frustrated and worried.
About 3 months after starting treatment, the redness and swelling on her skin gradually disappeared, and the scars from scratching had healed.
